Endometriosis Training
The Module
This module, developed in collaboration with Maëliss Le Bricon, is part of an educational approach. It aims to share the tools needed to better understand endometriosis and encourages patients to become active players in their own health care.
Through an inclusive and participatory approach, this program explores essential dimensions: acquiring scientific knowledge, making informed choices in care, and building a therapeutic alliance based on trust. Inspired by the principles of health democracy, this module promotes an active partnership between patients and healthcare professionals, while raising awareness of the importance of rights and consent.
Join this journey of learning and transformation, designed to make every patient a key partner in the management of endometriosis and in the evolution of medical research and practice.
Maëliss Le Bricon
Since 2020, Maëliss has been conducting a survey as part of the artistic, scientific and political experiment “Where to land? ” led by philosopher Bruno Latour with a multidisciplinary consortium.
Using a compass, she is invited to map out all the elements that have a positive or negative impact on her health.
Based on her real-life experience, she questioned the work of scientists, trained at Bordeaux University to teach medical students as a “patient trainer”, and strengthened her understanding of the disease to lead therapeutic education programs for patients at the Clinique Mutualiste de Pessac.
Maëliss is currently pursuing her investigation collectively with the Endometriosis Academy projects run by Agence Créative and thanks to the co-research project with Ateliers des Jours à venir.
In 2024, as part of the BREAKING THE SILENCE exhibition, she was invited to share her work in the form of a participatory performance at Galerie BAG in Bordeaux. As part of the European ENDO’s project, she shares the resources from this survey to enrich the training program for people affected by endometriosis.
